Tsambika Beach is located about 26 km from the island’s capital, Rhodes. The long and wide coastline, covered with fine golden sand, attracts many tourists for whom there is everything you need.
Nature generously endowed this corner of Greece with beauty. The azure Mediterranean Sea invites to cool off on a hot summer day. Picturesque views paint pictures from ancient mythology. Flavors from the surrounding taverns excite taste buds, inviting you to taste the local cuisine, which, incidentally, is considered one of the healthiest in the world.
South of Tsambika Beach
Due to the solid size of the beach (800 m), umbrellas and deck chairs are enough for everyone, even in the high season, when there are traditionally many tourists. Rent 2 sunbeds and an umbrella will cost 6 €.
There are many children on the shore. Parents may not worry about their safety. The bottom is shallow and warms up perfectly, in the sand there is no debris that could remain from sloppy vacationers. The latter fact pleases not only young beach people.
There is a special area for nudists. In terms of infrastructure, it is no different from the rest of the coast. Lovers of sunbathing without swimsuits and swimming trunks do not leave the boundaries of the area allotted to them.
Northern part of Tsambika beach
Those who are tired of sunbathing can join one of the teams that spontaneously form tourists from different ages and nationalities to play volleyball or soccer. There are enough sports fields to accommodate numerous guests of the resort, who suddenly became fans of active entertainment.
Jet skis and banana rides are the best ways to conquer the elements of the sea.
The southern part of the coastline abuts against a sand embankment near the mountain. This is a meeting place for motorcycle exrems. They compete in the ability to conquer the slope on a roaring ATV. These restless citizens are pulled closer in the evening and arrange cabal parties far from every day, so do not worry that relaxation and long-awaited vacation will be spoiled.
Since the beach is quite large, it has multi-colored flags indicating the direction in the direction of cafes, showers, changing rooms, sports grounds and other infrastructure, which is maintained in perfect condition.
On the trail of stone steps you can climb to the top of the mountain. There is a monastery of the Virgin Mary of Tsambiki. In the lower temple is the miraculous icon of the Virgin. Women who cannot conceive a child come to her to pray. They say miracles happen regularly. Entrance to the temple is free. Donations are welcome.
The observation deck at the monastery offers a magnificent view of the sea, mountains and olive groves. The place is thought-provoking.
